Ink Cartridge Reviews.
The reason why generic ink cartridges are so hard to find.

You really can't beat the quality of Original Epson ink cartridges but the prices can be really, really expensive. So here are a few reviews of generic Epson replacement  ink cartridges. They are seperated by
IJPH/EHR (ink jet printer help/Epson Help Review and SR (Submitted Review) None have beed submitted yet.

The only thing I ask is that the review be from a real user who actually used the ink cartridges and not a dealer. And if you want your name included in the review.

The
EHR reviews are ink cartridges that I have used. Not too many but what I tried I stuck with. Except for Ink4Art. But to be fair to Ink4Art maybe they just sent me a batch of defective ink cartridges.

Replacing ink cartridge tip. Have the new ink cartridge out of the package and the pull tab removed before you press the ink cartridge replacement button. Then quickly remove the old ink cartridge and install the new cartridge then press the ink button again to start using the new ink cartridge. This method will help prevent print head clogs because the print head is not off the cap assembly long enough to dry out.

COMPANY:
Ink4Art
Ink cartridge brand:Ink4Art
Price:  Around $40.00 at time of purchase.

I tried the 6 pack (3 black & 3 color ink cartridges)  for the Epson C60. The black ink cartridges were only half filled. So when I printed anything and the status monitor  indicated that the ink cartridge had 50% ink left in it the ink cartridge would run dry causing the print head to run dry which caused a print head clog. The color ink cartridges performed good but the ink in both the black and color did seem a little thick.

Recommendation: Avoid. Not worth damaging you printer and price is a little high.

COMPANY:
Abacus24-7 you can also find them on eBay.
Ink cartridge brand:Generic
Price: around $20.00

I pruchased a four pack (2 black & 2 color ink cartridges) for the Epson C60. These ink cartridges worked great. The colors look great. The black ink cartridge and color ink cartridges performed flawlessly. Once the first ink cartridge ran out and was replaced by the second ink cartridge it work perfectly with no clogs. Same goes for the color ink cartridges. Update: I have purchased a set of C62 ink cartridges 2 black and 2 color. The first black ink cartridge  was not  completely filled. But did perform well.Tthe colors were as good as OEM's. Shipping price is good. They are located in Arizona U.S.A.

Update: The quality has remained very good. I purchased more ink cartridges  which were fully filled. I can only guess that the one set of cartridges that were not completely filled was a fault of the factory.

New Update: we tried their Epson R200 ink cartridges. Very good quality and price. Shipping is fair and average delivery time. You are in good hands with this dealer.

Recommendation: Worth the money. Very good quality ink cartridges and quick shipping times. We would recommend them to anyone who wants good ink carts at a more than fair price. And no fear of damaging your printer.

COMPANY.
ACCSTATION on eBay.
Ink cartridge brand:Generic
Price $22.95

I purchased a 4 pack (2 black and two color) for the Epson C62. I'm still testing these ink cartridges but thay are performing great so far. No clogs and the colors are great. Update: The ink cartridges performed without any problems. No clogging problems no color variations. The only bad thing I can say about the seller is the shipping is a little high. This seller is based in Los Angeles Ca.

IJPH/EHR

COMPANY
EFORCITY on eBay or or website.
Ink cartridge brand: INSTEN
Price $3.50 - $4.50

I purchcased one Black and one color ink cartridge. This is by far the best generic ink cartridge I have tried. The color and black are both very clear. I think these are as close to using O.E.M. ink cartridges as you can get. These did not clog the print head or run dry once the ink status monitor hit the half way point.

As for as price  they are really competitive and only cost aorund $3.50 - $4.50. The only real complaint I have is they charge $3.00 postage per ink cartridge and and then send the items by parcel post. It took 9 days to get the ink cartridges. That might not sound too bad but I live less than 30 miles from the seller! Clearly they are using the old low item price and then sticking it to you on the shipping.

Update: The pricing has been lowered and the shipping prices are very competitive. We tried their Insten ink cartridges on our Epson R200 printer. The print quality is great. No clogging when the printer is regularly used. eforcity gets our recommendation as the one of the best suppliers to deal with.

Update: The quality of the INSTEN ink cartridges is not what they used to be. We have had several short filled ink cartridges and lots of bad chips.

Update: 7-17-07 Poor customer service. I was sent a email from a customer of EFORCITY who rec'd 6 bad ink cartridges. They sent the company a email with no response. You may want to look for another supplier.

Recommendation: If you have a chip resetter and old chips then O.K. Otherwise not worth the frustration for the money I would go with Abacus24-7.

Company RIMA
Brands sold. OEM Epson and G&G
Prices vary but usually run $15.00 for a set.

Prices are good. Quality is good and shipping is same or next business day. We get a bad chip now and then but not very often. But we always keep old chips and just replace the bad chip with a old one. No need to worry about what "color" chip you use. The printers only read full or empty.

Recommendation: We can't falt them for a bad chip now and then. Prices and quality are good. The cartridges do clod a bit more frequently if you let the printer sit for a while.
These are easy to refill which make then worthing looking at.
